When typing in my website URL www.earthsaverequipment.com successfully re-directs to earthsaverequipment.com as specified in robot.
However if you type http://www.earthsaverequipment.com it brings up a 404 error
Is this a potential issue? if so is there a way to fix it? thanks

I'm pretty sure it doesnt redirect twice. I double checked it with httpFox. It simply redirects only once.

That error is only occurring in Chrome so there must be some caching issue or such? Firefox and internet explorer are redirecting fine.
I am still unclear as to why http://www.earthsaverequipment.com re-directs 2 times before reaching earthsaverequipment.com

If you are the only one getting this issue another possibility might be that you have had a previously permanently redirect the other way around and your browser has cached this info.
I hope this is not the cast, as it very difficult to fix on a public site.

Sorry i meant the htaccess. I am not sure why it would be re-directing twice.. hmmm I have it set to re-direct using the Joomla sh404SEF plugin, so maybe there is an issue there. http://web-sniffer.net/ i do see the correct re-direct.
Will be adding the sitemap today. Site just went live a couple days ago and ironing out some obvious kinks

As far as I can see the redirect points to http://earthsaverequipment.com/, so multiple redirects is probably not the issue. Very strange though!?

I don't get a 404 error either but I do notice something strange happening.
As I watch the address bar, first I see what I put in: http://www.earthsaverequipment.com
Then it changes to www.earthsaverequipment.com
before finally settling on earthsaverequipment.com once the page fully loads.
I think there are too many redirects in there. What exactly are you trying to achieve? And also, redirects aren't supposed to happen from the robots.txt file, but rather, the .htaccess file.
Too many http requests can slow down the load time of your site, thereby hurting your SEO.

I'm not having any issues testing our your URL on my end. Both URLs there seem to redirect properly to the earthsaverequipment.com address.
Are you sure you didn't simply make a typo?

I do not get a 404 error when i'm going to http://www.earthsaverequipment.com. Also a redirect is not handled through your robots.txt. This file is used to specify which locations a robot is allowed to enter.
You can use http://web-sniffer.net/ to see what header a URL returns, and you will see that your website returns a 301 redirect, as it should.
The robots.txt file can also be used to specifiy the location of your sitemap, which it currently doesn't. I suggest you add this information.

Hi there, I noticed in Bing Webmaster Tools that we get the following for the home page.These pages have 400-499 http status code. SERP Hijacking/Content Theft/ 302 Redirect?
Sorry for the second post, thought this should have it's own. Here is the problem I am facing amongst many others. Let's take the search term "Air Jordan Release Dates 2017" and place it into Google Search. Here is a link:

The exact title is: Air Jordan Release Dates 2016, 2017 | SneakerFiles - Osce Now, this is my content, but not my website. For some reason, Google thinks this is my site. If you click on the link in search, it automatically redirects you to another page (maybe 302 redirect), but in the cache you can see it's mine:

I even filed a DMCA with Google, they declined it. I reached out to their Host and Domain register multiple times, never got a response. The sad part about this, it's happening for other keywords, for example if you search "KD 9 Colorways", the first result is for my website but on another domain name (my website does rank 3rd for a different Tag page). The page I worked hard on keeping up to date. I did notice this bit of javascript from the cloaked/hacked/serp hijacking website: I disabled iFrames...(think this helps) so not sure how they are doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Note: I am using Wordpress if that means anything.0 -

Hi There! Taking on a small project up updating and adding in Schema to a clients site; a previous developer half put in data vocabulary. In my planning I was wondering if their would be a best schema type for category page of products - or a collection of products? Any ideas and experience? Thanks!

Content hidden behind a 'read all/more..' etc etc button
Hi Anyone know latest thinking re 'hidden content' such as body copy behind a 'read more' type button/link in light of John Muellers comments toward end of last year (that they discount hidden copy etc) & follow up posts on Search Engine Round Table & Moz etc etc ? Lots of people were testing it and finding such content was still being crawled & indexed so presumed not a big deal after all but if Google said they discount it surely we now want to reveal/unhide such body copy if it contains text important to the pages seo efforts. Do you think it could be the case that G is still crawling & indexing such content BUT any contribution that copy may have had to the pages seo efforts is now lost if hidden. So to get its contribution to SEO back one needs to reveal it, have fully displayed ? OR no need to worry and can keep such copy behind a 'read more' button/link ? All Best Dan

How do i block an entire category/directory with robots.txt?
Anyone has any idea how to block an entire product category, including all the products in that category using the robots.txt file? I'm using woocommerce in wordpress and i'd like to prevent bots from crawling every single one of products urls for now. The confusing part right now is that i have several different url structures linking to every single one of my products for example www.mystore.com/all-products, www.mystore.com/product-category, etc etc. I'm not really sure how i'd type it into the robots.txt file, or where to place the file. any help would be appreciated thanks

Does 'XXX' in Domain get filtered by Google
I have a friend that has xxx in there domain and they are a religious based sex/porn addiction company but they don't show up for the queries that they are optimized against. They have a 12+ year old domain, all good health signs in quality links and press from trusted companies. Google sends them adult traffic, mostly 'trolls' and not the users they are looking for. Has anyone experienced domain word filtering and have a work around or solution? I posted in the Google Webmaster help forums and that community seems a little 'high on their horses' and are trying to hard to be cool. Google Page Rank of my site has dropped from 4/10 to 3/10
Google Page rank of my website has been dropped after Panda Update. Can anyone help me out to tell me the possible reasons about the same. We have tried to make our website more lively and user friendly. We have indulged some graphics to make it more attractive. Hello, Please let me know what are the exact right steps in order to get rid of the duplicate content issues related with: www.domain.com/index.html same as www.domain.com without creating an infinite loop. Do you have a step by step guide posted within seomoz including 301 redirect for non www to www for all urls and index.whatever to main domain name without going into a infinite loop ? btw how to you spot the loop ? is it obvious like never ending refresh of the home page ? thanks a lot !
