      Hi, everyone.

I want to know if you know any way to get DA & PA metrics with any software (not Netpeak Checker please, is very low) or any add-on for Google Sheet or Microsoft Excel (like Majestic has for Google Sheets).

Up today any software works always and sometimes the results are not really.

Please, team of MOZ and Community, help me.

And team of MOZ, the SEOs around the world need a solution for this. We scrapped many domains every day for build our privates blogs networks and also for search opportunities for link our sites. Please, provide us anyway (software, tool in your suite, I don't know) for this essential function in the SEO World.

      Thanks!

Up today any software works always and sometimes the results are not really.

          Hey there,

There are several tools and add-ons available for obtaining Domain Authority (DA) and Page Authority (PA) metrics other than Netpeak Checker. These metrics, originally developed by Moz, are widely used in SEO to estimate the strength of a domain or a page. Here are some options that integrate well with Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, or standalone software:

MozBar: Moz itself offers the MozBar, a Chrome extension that provides DA and PA scores directly in your browser while you surf the web. While it's not a Google Sheets or Excel add-on, it's a straightforward way to get these metrics quickly.

SEOquake: SEOquake is another browser extension available for Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. It provides a plethora of SEO metrics, including DA and PA. SEOquake can display these metrics directly in search engine results pages (SERPs), making it a convenient tool for quick assessments.

Ahrefs: Ahrefs is a comprehensive SEO tool that offers a wide range of metrics including their own Domain Rating (DR) and URL Rating (UR), which are similar to Moz's DA and PA. While Ahrefs doesn't have a direct add-on for Google Sheets or Excel, it offers an API that can be integrated into custom scripts, allowing you to pull data directly into these platforms.

SEMrush: SEMrush is another comprehensive SEO platform that offers a wide range of metrics and insights, including authority scores. Like Ahrefs, SEMrush also provides API access for pulling data into Google Sheets or Excel through custom scripts or integrations.

Google Sheets Add-ons and Scripts: For direct integration with Google Sheets, you can use custom scripts or add-ons that utilize APIs from SEO tools like Moz, Ahrefs, or SEMrush. For example, you can use the IMPORTXML function in Google Sheets to fetch data from web pages or APIs that provide these metrics.

Majestic: As you mentioned Majestic, it's worth noting that Majestic offers its own metrics (Trust Flow and Citation Flow) that are similar to DA and PA. They have a Google Sheets add-on, allowing for easy integration of their data into your spreadsheets.

          Cheers Tom,

Hey there, thanks for writing in!

The only way to check for Domain Authority, Page Authority or Spam Score in bulk would be our Mozscape API. You can read all about the API and how it works and what's required over in our Help Hub pages, here: https://moz.com/help/guides/moz-api/mozscape/overview

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions or if there's anything that needs clarifying! Just send us a note over at [email protected] and we'll do our very best to answer all your questions!

Unsolved How to get Domain Authority using API ?

                      api domain authority

I wanted to test the API and while looking on the documentation urls, I cannot find details on how to get Domain Authority. is that not available to query ? was it replaced by Brand Authority ? is it only available for the paid API or for the free one too ? I looked at many documentation pages but I find it very confusing and frustrating, there are many versions of the documentation and various URLs and not clearly labeled, I understand some are V1, V2, V3, etc, but I didn't find sample API calls for Domain Authority. Thank you.

Unsolved Moz API returning incorrect PA data

                      api page authority

So I've been attempting to figure out Moz API to allow for batches of URLs to be searched and the data to be nicely put into a google sheet. I've setup the MOZ API for sheets add-on and everything appears to work, but after spot checking some of my data, I've found that for some reason, the page authority data returned by Moz API appears to be way off the actual number presented by other Moz tools, such as the tool bar and main site.
                      Screenshot 2023-06-01 at 9.38.25 AM.png
Screenshot 2023-06-01 at 9.41.43 AM.png As you can see, in this one example off my list, the returned PA value is 6 points lower than the value returned from the Moz tool bar and website analysis.
If the data returned is incorrect, how is Moz API useful? Am I missing something? Would love some help or advice, as this tool would be very useful in a functioning state!

                      WordPress Sub-directory for SEO

                      wordpress subdirectory domain authority

Hi There, I'm working on a WordPress site that includes a premium content blog with approx 900 posts. As part of the project, those 900 posts and other membership functionality will be moved from the main site to another site built specifically for content/membership. Ideally, we want the existing posts to remain on the root domain to avoid a loss in link juice/domain authority. We initially began setting up a WordPress Multisite using the sub-directory option. This allows for the main site to be at www.website.com and the secondary site to be at www.website.com/secondary. Unfortunately, the themes and plugins we need for the platform do not play nicely with WordPress Multisite, so we started seeking a new solution, and, discovered that a second instance of WordPress can be installed in a subdirectory on the server. This would give us the same subdirectory structure while bypassing WordPress Multisite and instead, having two separate single-site installs. Do you foresee any issues with this WordPress subdirectory install? Does Google care/know these are two separate WordPress installs and do we risk losing any link juice/domain authority?

                      Moz Domain Authority [Megathread]

                      domain authority da

Hey Moz Community, We've noticed that there are questions about Domain Authority, what it is, and how to positively impact it. We're here to answer your questions! For a full overview, please see our help hub article here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority First, it's important to keep in mind that Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how likely a website is to rank in search engine result pages (SERPs). It is not a Google ranking factor. Domain Authority scores range from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater likelihood of ranking. Since DA is based on machine learning calculations, your site's score will often fluctuate as more, fewer, or different data points become available and are incorporated into those calculations. For instance, if facebook.com were to acquire a billion new links, every other site’s DA would drop relative to Facebook’s. Because more established and authoritative domains like Facebook will have increasingly larger link profiles, they take up more of the high-DA slots, leaving less room at the higher end of the scale for other domains with less robust link profiles. Therefore, it's significantly easier to grow your score from 20 to 30 than it is to grow it from 70 to 80. For this reason, it’s important to use Domain Authority as a comparative metric rather than an absolute one. The best way to influence your DA is to improve your overall site health with a focus on the quality and quantity of external links pointing to your site. Check out this video for more details on how to impact DA Happy analyzing!
