To determine why your website's rankings may have dropped and identify potential issues, conducting a comprehensive SEO audit is crucial. Here are some steps you can take:
On-page Optimization: Review the content and meta tags on your website to ensure they are optimized for relevant keywords. Check for keyword stuffing, duplicate content, and missing meta tags.
Technical SEO: Assess your website's technical aspects such as site speed, mobile-friendliness, crawlability, and indexability. Address any issues like broken links, server errors, or improper redirects.
Backlink Analysis: Analyze your website's backlink profile to ensure quality and relevance. Disavow any toxic or spammy backlinks that may be harming your rankings.
Content Quality: Evaluate the quality and relevance of your website's content. Make sure it provides value to users and aligns with their search intent.
Competitive Analysis: Compare your website with competitors to identify areas for improvement and potential opportunities.
Google Algorithm Updates: Stay updated with Google's algorithm changes and how they may affect your website's rankings. Factors like core updates, page experience signals, and mobile-first indexing can impact rankings.
Local SEO: If your business targets local audiences, optimize your website for local search by claiming and optimizing your Google My Business listing, ensuring consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) information across directories, and earning positive reviews.
User Experience: Focus on improving user experience by providing easy navigation, clear calls-to-action, and fast loading times.
Consider consulting with an experienced SEO professional or agency to conduct a thorough audit of your website and provide tailored recommendations for improving your rankings.

There could be multiple factors affecting your website ranking. One of the most important factors that could have affected your website would be 1) any technical change that had affected site speed 2) On page changes like Meta update, Headings Update, URL change, Media change etc.. 2) offsite change - backlinks gone spammy, removed or from non relevant sources 3) SSL / Hosting related issues - site kept going down for some reason 4) and last but not least the Google algorithm update. If issues persist you can reach out this top SEO company in Toronto for detailed audit of your website.

This could be due to a number of factors, however as of this morning (9/8/17) there is talk of a potential Google algorithm update- see more talk about it at https://www.seroundtable.com/google-search-algorithm-update-24433.html. This is just speculation but Google is showing a lot of SERP volatility in the last 24-36 hours.

Q&A Page Titles
Hello All! I am currently updating page titles and metadata descriptions for a websites Q&A section and have run in to a problem while updating page titles. Since it is the Q&A section of the website, all of the page titles are around 100 characters and some are up to 200 characters long. Here is an example: Page Title: My child is working below grade level in math. Do I have to purchase the curriculum from the grade below as well? The problem is that this is obviously too long for a SERP to display however I know it is best practice to have matching titles on both the title tag and page title. My question is what hurts SEO value more: the title tag and title of the page not matching or having a very long title displayed on the SERP?

What should I be shooting for for search visibility percentage?
Realistically - what's a "good" search visibility score? I'm working on a site that has been around less than a year. We are doing 3 blogs a week with carefully selected keywords. I know it will take time and lots of SEO work - but I'm interested in any ideas on what I should shoot for. Thanks for any thoughts! (Also not a local listing or anything - national search.)

Should I Use WooCommerce Tags & Attributes?
I'm helping an online furniture store search engine optimize a WooCommerce store and I'm trying to make sure our taxonomies make sense. I'd love any help you guys can give, but I'm particularly interested in determining whether we should use tags. Product attributes make sense to me, but I'm concerned to use tags because of the propensity for creating duplicate content. Thanks in advance for any help you guys are willing to give.

How does Google Detect which keywords my website should show up for in the SE?
When I checked my Google Webmaster Tools I found that my website is showing up for keywords that I didn't optimize for ... for example I optimize my website for "funny pictures with captions", and the website is showing up for "funny images with captions". I know that this is good, but the keyword is dancing all around, sometimes I search for "funny pictures with captions" and I show up in the 7th page, and some time I don't show up. and the same goes for the other keyword. of course I am optimizing for more than two keywords but the results is not consistent. my question is how does Google decide which keywords you website should show up for? Is it the on-page keywords?, or is it the off-page anchor text keywords? Thank you in advance ...

Changing Link Title Tags & Backlinks
On 4/19/12 I began changing the link title tags in an effort to further optimize my website. I thought they were excessively long and it would be beneficial to make them more concise. On 4/26/12 my website traffic began to fall drastically and I'm not sure if it is from google's penguin update or from changing the link title tags. I started looking into the sudden drop of traffic and realized that when I run the site explorer tool on all of the pages I changed, the URL is redirecting. It appears that the backlinks are not passing through to the new URL. Before I Changed the Link Title Tag: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links?site=www.beautystoponline.com%2FAndis-Professional-Hair-Clippers-s%2F102150.htm **After I Changed the Link Title Tag: ** http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links?site=www.beautystoponline.com%2FAndis-Clippers-s%2F102150.htm So my questions are: The above example shows that the old title tag (www.beautystoponline.com/Andis-Professional-Hair-Clippers-s/102150.htm) has 43 backlinks and the new one (www.beautystoponline.com/Andis-Professiona-Hair-Clippers-s/102150.htm) has 0. Will the links eventually be attributed to the new URL. I understand that the user will still be directed to my website they click the any of the backlinks, but will the link juice pointing the old URL pass through the new one? Would it be better, in the long run, to continue optimizing the link title tags.
